Two drag queens and a trans woman are scheduled to perform at a cabaret on the other side of the country. Between them and their hotel lies the desert, immense and barren… But the three friends don’t let themselves be discouraged as they buy a bus, christened “Priscilla”, and set off at breakneck speed along the sandy tracks. All kinds of encounters will punctuate their journey.

Unashamedly queer, of groundbreaking sensibility, the film won over audiences and garnered an Oscar for Tim Chappel and Lizzy Gardiner’s iconic costumes in the mid-1990s. Priscilla has spawned a hit soundtrack, musicals, reality shows and countless performances, and continues to be discovered by new generations, 30 years on.
