No, it wasn’t Linda who took her mother Paulette’s ring! And now Paulette, who can’t cook, would do anything to make it up to her, even a chicken with peppers. But how do you find a chicken on a day when there’s a general strike? From chicken coop to watermelon truck, from overzealous cops to allergic truck drivers, from grannies to floods, Paulette and her daughter set off in search of the chicken, dragging along the whole “Linda gang” and eventually the whole neighborhood.
