Hirayama’s daily routine is like a ritual. Every morning, after breakfast, he wanders around Tokyo, taking care of the public toilets. In the evening, he takes refuge in the bath and then the bar, reads and photographs the trees. This daily quietude is disrupted by the arrival of his niece Niko, a presence that will reveal past wounds.
