Le procès Goldman
Pierre Goldman is accused of four armed robberies, one of which resulted in the death of two people. The far-left activist confessed to taking part in the robberies, but has always maintained his innocence in the murders. Sentenced in the first instance to life imprisonment, this icon of the intellectual left was put on trial for the second time in April 1976. He was defended by the young lawyer Georges Kiejman, who advised him to speak as little as possible and to follow his instructions in order to avoid the death penalty. Elusive and provocative, Pierre Goldman did as he pleased, rendering the outcome of the trial uncertain.
