Last Things
With this new medium-length film, Deborah Stratman offers a singular exploration of evolution, extinction and the future from a mineral point of view. Through a narrative inspired in part by short stories by J.-H. Rosny, this film visits a plurality of visions and theories, with a concrete and playful poetry that inventively combines the terms science and fiction. With a visual concept that is both sober and sparkling, expressed through a variety of techniques on different media, the filmmaker brings temporalities and universes together with a narrative skill that opens up perceptions of history and reality.
Last Things (50′) will be preceded by Stratman’s short film Laika (5′).
