Éloge de l'ombre
Japanese writer Junichiro Tanizaki’s literary essay Éloge de l’ombre, light and dark, and the origins of photography and cinema form the framework of this three-chapter “cinematic meditation”. Evanescent shadows glide into one another, weaving a spellbinding reverie in the inhabited half-light that brings us back to our presence in the world, to the passage of time, to the very essence of life and its fragility.
