Saules aveugles, femme endormie
A lost cat, a giant frog and a tsunami help an unambitious salesman, his frustrated wife and a schizophrenic accountant save Tokyo from an earthquake and restore meaning to their lives.
Pierre Földes, a multidisciplinary creator who wears three hats here, directing, scripting and scoring, offers a singular work of animation adapted from a collection of short stories by Haruki Murakami, a pioneering author of contemporary world literature. Punctuated with inventive metaphors, Saules aveugles, femme endormie highlights the sudden realization after an encounter, a separation or an unexpected event that forces us to question the path we have chosen.
