Retrospective: Indigeneity
Presented by the FIFEQ in collaboration with Wapikoni Mobile.
As part of this 21st edition, centered around the theme of the Visible and the Invisible, FIFEQ invites you to question the ongoing colonial force at work in Canada and Quebec — and more specifically, its impact on the lives and bodies of Indigenous women and girls. While the Native Women’s Association of Canada has reported over 4,000 missing and murdered women, this reality remains largely silenced by state and public institutions.
This short film evening gives voice to Indigenous women and their communities. Through the camera, they tell the stories of disappearances, struggles, memory, resilience, and love.
