Retired teacher Lia is committed to finding out what happened to her long-lost niece Tekla. When Lia learns from a neighbor, Achi, that Tekla may have left their Georgian homeland and is living in Turkey, Lia and Achi set off together in search of her. Arriving in Istanbul, they discover a beautiful city, full of connections and possibilities. But finding someone they never intended to find is harder than they thought – until they meet Evrim, a lawyer who fights for the rights of transgender people. A film of great sincerity, an ode to what binds us, to what separates us.
