L’image fantôme

A contemporary Quebec short film + an exclusively restored international feature film + a discussion with an emerging filmmaker: this is the formula of L’image fantôme, a regular series conceived by critics and programmers Elijah Baron, Louis-Jean Decazes, and Matheo Pino. The idea is to shine a light on rare, singular works that are often rendered invisible by traditional distribution circuits, all in a spirit of exchange and discovery. By creating bridges between past and present, here and elsewhere, and between classical and experimental forms, L’image fantôme seeks to bring cinema to life in all its diversity, as an art of encounter.
