I Love Boosters

In Oakland, aspiring designer Corvette and her two best friends, Sade and Mariah, make a living reselling name-brand clothes on the street — garments lifted from the boutiques controlled by the powerful Christie Smith. After landing jobs at one of her branches under false identities, the three accomplices befriend an overworked employee who is thinking of starting a union. Then, teleporting in from China, young factory worker Jianhu arrives to expose the squalid conditions in which the brand’s products are made. When Corvette discovers that one of her own designs has been stolen by the arrogant empress of fashion, she resolves to lead the revolt.
