The story of an unusual journey along the RER B train line that crosses the Parisian suburbs from north to south. We meet: a cleaning lady, a Malian scrap metal dealer, a nurse, a writer, hunting enthusiasts who perpetuate this contested tradition in the Chevreuse valley where the train ends… Each one a piece of a set that makes a whole.

During her journey through the suburbs, director Alice Diop gives faces to faceless places. She wishes to break the national narrative of the French community and tell it anew, giving a glimpse of the most diverse forms and realities of life.
